SIMON BREGAZZI

Chief Executive Officer, Jupiter Resources
Simon Bregazzi (CEO) is our Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. From 2009 until January 2014, Simon was the Chief Financial Officer of Canbriam Energy. Prior to that, he was Managing Director and Head of Canadian Energy Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs from 2005 to 2009. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Actuarial Science from the University of Western Ontario.

RAKESH WILSON

Senior Partner, Apollo
Rakesh is a Senior Partner at Apollo Private Equity having joined in 2009, and is focused on the firm’s natural resources activities. Prior to joining Apollo, he was with Morgan Stanley’s Commodities Department in the principal investing group responsible for generating, evaluating and executing investment ideas across the energy sector. Rakesh began his career at Goldman Sachs in equity research and then moved to its investment banking division in New York and Asia. He currently serves on the boards of directors of CSV Midstream Solutions, EP Energy and Express Energy Services. Rakesh graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and received his MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.

ALAN J. CARR

Founder, Drivetrain Advisors
Alan is a investment professional with over twenty years of experience working from the principal and advisor side on complex, process-intensive financial situations. Alan is the founder of Drivetrain Advisors. Prior to this, Alan was a Managing Director at Strategic Value Partners, LLC. He joined Strategic Value Partners in 2003, where he served as Managing Director until he founded Drivetrain Advisors in 2013. Prior to joining Strategic Value Partners, Alan was a corporate restructuring attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. Alan currently does and has previously served on numerous private and public company boards of directors throughout North America, Europe and Australasia in a variety of industries.

GREGORY A. BEARD

Head of Natural Resources, Senior Partner, Apollo
Greg is the Global Head of Natural Resources and a Senior Partner at Apollo Private Equity, having joined the firm in 2010. Greg oversees all investment activities in the energy, metals and mining, and agriculture sectors. Previously, Greg was at Riverstone Holdings, an energy-focused private equity firm, as a founding member and Managing Director. He began his career as a Financial Analyst at Goldman Sachs, where he played an active role in energy-sector principal investment activities. Greg currently serves on the boards of directors of Apex Energy, Caelus Energy, CSV Midstream Solutions, Double Eagle Energy I/II, EP Energy, Talos Energy and Tumbleweed Royalty, LLC. Greg received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana.

WILSON B. HANDLER

Principal, Apollo
Wilson is a Principal of Apollo Private Equity and joined the firm in 2011. Prior to that, Wilson was an investment professional at First Reserve, where he was involved in the execution and monitoring of investments in the energy sector. Previously, he worked in the Investment Banking Division at Lehman Brothers in the Natural Resources group. Currently, Wilson serves on the boards of directors of EP Energy, Resource Energy, American Petroleum Partners and CSV Midstream Solutions. He graduated from Dartmouth College with an AB (Bachelor of Arts) in Economics and Government.

CAROL FLATON

Managing Director, Zolfo Cooper, LLC
Carol is a Managing Director at Zolfo Cooper, LLC and has more than thirty years of experience in banking, finance and restructuring across multiple industries. Prior to joining Zolfo Cooper in 2014, Carol was a Managing Director in the restructuring practice at Lazard Freres. Prior to Lazard, she was a Managing Director at both Citi (2006-2008) and CSFB (1995-2006) responsible for bilateral and syndicated distressed positions. Carol has held the NASD Series 7 and 24 licenses, received a BSBA from the University of Delaware and an MBA from IMD (Lausanne, Switzerland).
